hp inkjet toner 92 and 93

Filed under: computers — kp @ 11:26 am

printing costs money

sneaky print executives

buy more toner buy

yesterday’s shopping exploits included buying toner. checked sam’s club and in the end concluded that it was best to buy at office depot. best buy not so best. sam’s club does save you about $2-3 but because of their package containing 2 blacks to 1 color, you’ll end up with all these extra blacks…only wish that office depot would have included these toners in their own brand saving even more.

Diapers, soothie pacifiers and large cans of fruit

Filed under: food, baby — kp @ 9:03 pm

soothies, diapers,

oversized cans of fruit are

this week’s purchases

After having tried out both pampers and huggies, I’ve gone back to pampers even though there are less in a box…definitely more absorbent. Contrary to what one may think, the prices at sam’s club are not cheaper so I bought them on sale at babies r us instead. What is a good deal at sam’s are the giganto cans of fruit! So now we have pineapple, peaches and fruit cocktail galore! I also got a 2 pack of soothies pacifiers because we’ve discovered that baby loves them. Who knew?

Physical shopping!

Filed under: Uncategorized — kp @ 10:39 am

let’s get physical

wandering around the store

looking for “bargains “

well, I actually went to a store to shop! woo hoo! with baby! I like going to stores to look for so-called good deals (once in a while). Anyway, today’s mission was a belated birthday present for my cousin and a sweater jacket for the hubby which I did accomplish. Shocking I know.

Samsonite® 18″ Wheeled Backpack

Filed under: luggage — kp @ 11:16 am

heavy books galore

too much for eleven years

off the back, on wheels

bought from samsonitecompanystores for $29.99
free shipping!

wish they would have an email confirmation of the order, but did receive UPS tracking info

So, we received this and overall happy with it except for a piece of plastic that broke off. Not in a crucial area to warrant the trouble and expense of exchanging it.  What’s nice is that there are lots of compartments. We love multiple compartments! The backpack straps can also be stored away in a pocket when not in use.

Medela Pump In Style Advanced Backpack

Filed under: motherhood, baby — kp @ 7:57 am

Breastfeeding not as

easy as it used to be

Pump is what I do

Baby #2 didn’t really take to breastfeeding and I was a bit hesitant to pursue it being she had jaundice, was only 5lbs + and needed to put on weight. So at first, I used the Medela Harmony Manual Breastpump which I had bought with using it as a relief in mind while I was breastfeeding. But I ended up using it to express the milk which worked at first. But after a week or so, I noticed that I would end up with a little bit less milk each time and got worried. So I ended up looking at the electric pump which I avoided at first because it was a few hundred dollars! But I can tell you now that it was worth it. I’ve increased the amount of milk I express and it’s much quicker! Within 15 minutes, I’ve expressed milk and cleaned up the parts. With this, I can prolong the amount of time I feed my baby breastmilk as I go back to work in another month. Luckily, my office has a lactation room. With my previous child, I did not have an electric pump so I weaned him off as I went back to work. I also had a lousy manual pump then that didn’t work.

I bought my Medela Pump In Style Advanced Backpack - Black at Babies R Us because I didn’t want to wait any longer due to my waning milk supply. However, I did use a 15% coupon which brought the price down.

Another recommendation for those planning to breastfeed…

Gerber Warm or Cool Relief Packs
I wish I had these! You’ll definitely want these when the milk comes in.

The Peanut Shell sling

Filed under: motherhood, baby — kp @ 8:26 pm

fussy baby oh no

sleep wake sleep wake oh no no

yes yes baby sling

have bought two so far, one in cotton from chicmammas
I got a size Small. I’m 5′0″ and currently 129lbs (just gave birth!)
Baby sleeps better in the sling during the day which is nice and keeps hands free to do other things like type online! Just don’t bend forward without holding your baby!

and in fleece from attachedtobaby
Bought a size Large for the hubby. He’s about 5′9″ and I don’t know about 170lbs? We don’t have a scale, but he’s average build. Fleece is nice and soft and seems more comfortable.

Both arrived in a few days via USPS mail.

Morrissey cometh

the more I ignore tickets

the more I seek them

Well, tickets are still available on ticketmaster but I don’t want to pay full price. Been there, done that, so I tried eBay. Alas, I lost but made someone pay more.
